Step 1

The flour for bread dough must be dry and free of lumps. To determine the quality of your flour, moisten a pinch with water. If the flour is fresh, it will remain light even when wet, the color of the stale flour will become dark. It is recommended to dry the flour before kneading the bread - sprinkle it on the table and leave for 30-40 minutes. And so that the dough rises perfectly, sift the flour through a sieve just before kneading.

Step 2

In half a glass of lukewarm water, add 1 teaspoon of sugar and 40 g of yeast, then, stirring thoroughly, add one glass of flour. Put the so-called chatterbox in a warm place for 20-30 minutes.

Step 3

Pour in the remaining 1.5 kg flour, 3 glasses of water and a tablespoon of salt. Stir and place in a warm place for 2 hours. While the dough is rising, it must be kneaded 2-3 more times. Do not allow the dough to cool down so that the bread does not turn out to be dense. The readiness of the dough can be determined by the degree of increase in the dough in volume and the appearance of small bubbles. Also, the dough that has come down will not stick too much to your hands.

Step 4

Knock the dough into a loaf, do not wrinkle too much, so that it does not settle at all, but is airy. Alternatively, submerge it in a bread pan. Moisten the surface of the dough with water before sending it to the oven and pierce it in several places with a fork.
