The Turkish word "rahat" is translated as pleasure, and the word "lokom" means "pieces". Turkish delight is one of the most ancient sweets, it is more than 500 years old. And all this time she never ceases to give pleasure. Turkish delight can be prepared with various fillings; nuts, candied fruits and, occasionally, dried fruits are added to it. And the pieces themselves can be of different tastes, depending on the fruit component.

To prepare strawberry Turkish delight, we need:

  • Frozen strawberries - 200 gr
  • Instant gelatin - 15 g
  • Lemon - 1/2 pc
  • Powdered sugar - 150 gr.

Preparation:

First, soak the gelatin so that it swells. To do this, fill it with 50 ml of water, mix well and give time to swell.

Squeeze juice from half a lemon.

Defrost the strawberries a little, and then grind them in a blender so that the juice is not lost during defrosting, you can defrost the strawberries immediately in the blender bowl.

In a small saucepan or saucepan, mix the swollen gelatin, lemon juice, chopped strawberries and powdered sugar.

Mix thoroughly and put on a small fire. The mixture must be well warmed up until the gelatin is completely dissolved, but in no case should it boil.

Remove the resulting homogeneous mixture from the heat and beat well with a mixer for 5 minutes until it brightens and becomes thick.

Pour the finished fruit mass into a mold, smooth and freeze in a cool place for 5-6 hours (you can overnight). If you have parchment paper, you can line the mold with it. Remove the frozen ready-made strawberry Turkish delight and cut into small cubes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar so that they do not stick together.

Serve with tea or as a dessert.
