Hot summer days are ideal times for beverage producers. From refrigerators and shelves in supermarkets, everything that can quench your thirst is swept away. It will be useful for each person to find out what can and cannot be drunk in the heat.
Instructions
Step 1
Drink plain and mineral water in the heat. These are the most affordable thirst-quenching drinks. Doctors recommend that you constantly carry a bottle of water with you, so as not to forget to replenish its reserves in the body in time. It is better to drink in small portions even before you feel thirsty.
Step 2
In summer, opt for a healthy drink like sugar-free green tea. It is believed to be an excellent thirst quencher, normalizes blood flow, strengthens blood vessels, and also lowers blood cholesterol levels. Drink green tea in moderation (no more than 3-4 cups), as excess of it negatively affects the functioning of the kidneys and liver.
Step 3
Natural unsweetened juices help to quench thirst, reduce hunger, and replenish the content of vitamins and minerals in the body. Lemon juice diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 5 is considered an excellent remedy. This drink prevents excessive sweating. Thanks to its vitamin C content, lemon juice relieves the effects of heat such as lethargy, fatigue and headaches.
Step 4
Natural kvass and ayran are effective summer drinks that perfectly satisfy hunger and thirst. In hot weather, fermented milk products - fermented baked milk or kefir are also useful.
Step 5
Drink natural berry fruit drinks in summer. They save the body from thirst and fill it with vitamins and antioxidants.
Step 6
During hot seasons, keep your coffee and other caffeinated beverages to a minimum. Better to limit yourself to 1-2 cups a day. Caffeine is a diuretic. It increases blood pressure and dehydrates the body.
Step 7
Avoid sugary carbonated drinks. They are high in sugar, which is why they only provoke thirst.
Step 8
Don't drink too cold drinks. Such liquids do not compensate for the moisture deficit, stimulate the sweat glands and stay in the stomach longer. The ideal temperature for drinks in the heat is not lower than 14-18 degrees.
Step 9
Don't try to quench your thirst with alcohol. These drinks lead to dehydration.
Step 10
Don't force yourself to drink if you don't feel like it. Excess water content increases the stress on the organs, especially the heart and kidneys. The more you drink, the more you sweat, which is why the body needs a new portion of fluid all the time. It is advisable to take 3-4 sips every half hour.
