Stuffed chicken is appropriate on any table. This dish is not only tasty, it saves time. Indeed, in the oven, not only tender chicken with a golden brown crust is cooked, but also a side dish of tasty and healthy buckwheat.
It is necessary
- - chicken carcass weighing 1.5-2 kg;
- - ¾ glass of dry buckwheat;
- - 1 carrot;
- - 1 onion;
- - 50-60 ml of honey (better than liquid);
- - sunflower oil;
- - spices (to taste, for example, turmeric, paprika, a mixture of dried herbs, etc.);
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Before baking in the oven, the chicken should be well marinated. Rinse the carcass with cool water, remove excess moisture. To prepare the stuffed chicken marinade: mix the selected seasonings with honey and salt. Grate the chicken generously with this composition. Put the marinated chicken in the refrigerator overnight, or at least 6-7 hours.
Step 2
When the chicken is well saturated with the marinade, you can continue cooking. Boil buckwheat, drain the water. Peel the onion and carrots, chop and fry in vegetable oil. Then add buckwheat, mix and fry a little more.
Step 3
Buckwheat with vegetables should be stuffed tightly with a chicken carcass. Then sew the chicken with a thread, or stab it with toothpicks so that the filling does not fall out. Wrap the stuffed chicken in two layers of foil to make the meat more tender.
Step 4
Bake the stuffed chicken in foil for an hour and a half in the oven at 200 degrees. Then remove the foil and leave the chicken to brown in the oven for another half hour.
Step 5
Stuffed chicken can be served directly from the oven. The dish can be supplemented with fresh vegetables and herbs.
