The flaky and hearty Prince salad with beef is a real competitor to the Olivier, which is boring for the New Year holidays. The taste of that dish is more intense, spicy, and thanks to the layers, you can make any design, decorating the top as you wish. The list of products for cooking is quite simple, you definitely won't have to bother with crayfish tails, hazel grouse or gherkins. The highlight of the "Prince" salad is the addition of walnuts and aromatic garlic, which quickly whet the appetite of guests or household members.

It is necessary

  • - 400 g of lean beef;
  • - 2 medium-sized pickled cucumbers;
  • - a couple of garlic cloves;
  • - 4 eggs;
  • - 100 g of peeled walnut kernels;
  • - salt;
  • - mayonnaise for coating layers.

Instructions

Step 1

Boil in salted water in advance and cool the beef. You can do this in the evening, and in the morning you can prepare a delicious salad by taking the meat out of the refrigerator.

Step 2

Boil eggs, cool, peel.

Step 3

Chop the chilled beef on a cutting board into thin strips, into cubes, or divide it into fibers by hand. Place half of the pieces at once on a flat dish inside a special detachable form or along the bottom of a glass salad bowl. Lubricate with mayonnaise.

Step 4

Cut the pickled cucumbers into cubes or strips. Peel the garlic, squeeze through a press into the cucumber mass, mix. Put half of the slices of cucumber, which smells delicious of garlic, on top of the beef, grease with mayonnaise.

Step 5

Chop the eggs with a knife or mash with a fork, place half of the mass on top of the cucumbers, squeeze out a little mayonnaise, spread with a fork. You can add salt, but usually adding salt to the Prince salad is not required.

Step 6

Repeat the unfolding of the layers, spreading the remnants of beef, cucumbers and eggs in the same sequence, coat each layer with mayonnaise.

Step 7

Grind the walnuts with a blender or rolling pin, pouring them into a bag, sprinkle the top of the salad with nut crumbs. Remove ring shape if used for cooking.

Step 8

Decorate with herbs as you wish, serve.
