Cheese and garlic appetizer "Mandarinka" can surprise even the most notorious gourmets. Few of the guests will immediately guess that on the plate there are not sweet fruits, but spicy balls of cheese, garlic and boiled carrots. "Deception" will be revealed only during the tasting, when the guest tastes the delicate and at the same time spicy filling of the bright orange "tangerine" by cutting the snack ball into two halves with a knife. Wondering how to make such an original cheese and garlic appetizer? The recipe is very simple, and most housewives at home will find products.
It is necessary
- - 3 processed cheese without any fillers and flavors (or 150 g of hard cheese - at your choice);
- - 3 chicken eggs;
- - 3 cloves of garlic;
- - 2 carrots;
- - mayonnaise;
- - salt;
- - real tangerine leaves or parsley sprigs for decoration;
- - a few black peppercorns or clove buds (by the number of balls).
Instructions
Step 1
If using hard cheese, simply grate it into a separate bowl. If processed cheese is taken, they must first be frozen in the freezer so that they are rubbed better.
Step 2
Boil eggs, peel off the shell, grate on a coarse grater, not dividing into whites and yolks.
Step 3
Mix the cheese and eggs, squeeze the peeled garlic into a bowl, add a little salt to taste. Add a couple of tablespoons of mayonnaise, mix everything thoroughly.
Step 4
Cool the pre-boiled carrots, grate separately on a fine grater. Squeeze out the juice.
Step 5
Roll balls from the cheese and egg mass to the size of tangerines, make a small depression with your finger for plausibility, slightly flatten on the sides.
Step 6
Form small "cakes" from grated carrots (in consistency it will resemble plasticine or dough), place snack balls in the center, cover them with carrot mass so that there are no gaps.
Step 7
Arrange the "tangerines" on a plate, stick a pea of pepper or a clove bud into each plate (you can replace it with a slice of chopped olive). These will be cuttings. Decorate the plate with parsley leaves or herbs.
Step 8
Remove before serving in the refrigerator so that the "tangerines" do not lose their shape in the warmth.
