Each housewife has her own secret of making cakes, loved by all households and, especially, children. There are countless recipes for their preparation: from unleavened dough, from yeast dough, from butter, with or without filling, fried, baked … Try to bake incredibly delicious homemade cakes, the preparation process of which is not complicated at all.
It is necessary
-
- flour - 500 g;
- water - 2 glasses;
- vegetable oil - 5 tablespoons;
- salt to taste (about 1 teaspoon).
Instructions
Step 1
Sift the flour into a bowl through a sieve and pour cold water and stirring salt into it. Knead cool unleavened dough, knead for 10-15 minutes. Leave it on the table, covered with a clean towel, for 30-40 minutes, during this time the dough will "rest" and slightly increase in volume.
Step 2
Divide the dough into 4-5 pieces (depending on the size of the pan) and roll them into balls. Roll out the first bun not too thin and brush with sunflower oil, preferably not refined, then fold the dough in half on the oily side. Roll out the resulting semicircle of dough and smear with oil again, then fold again. So repeat 8 times or more - the more you fold and roll, the tastier the cake will be. It should turn out to be from 1 to 1.5 cm thick in the end.
Step 3
Pour some sunflower oil into a skillet and brown the flatbread on both sides. Remove it from the pan onto a napkin to remove excess oil. While one cake is being fried, roll the next one. Serve them warm for sweet tea or instead of bread for first courses. Cold, they are also tasty, but they rarely remain until they cool completely.
