Surprising guests and pleasing household members is not so difficult. A little imagination and you can prepare such delicious and beautiful cakes with jam, which are suitable both for morning tea drinking and for special occasions.

- For glaze:

- - 4 tablespoons water;
- - ¼ tsp vanilla extract or vanillin on the tip of a knife.
Instructions
Step 1
In a food processor or blender, combine flour, salt and sugar. Add diced butter and mix. Pour 4 tbsp. water, add another 1 tablespoon if necessary. water. Knead the dough in a blender.
Step 2
Form a ball from the dough, divide into 2 parts and roll into a disk. Wrap each disc in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 3
Take out the chilled disc of dough, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 30x25 cm.

Cut 8 rectangles of 10x15 cm from the rolled one disk.
Step 5
Take one rectangle and spread 1 ½ tbsp. jam, leaving a little space around the edges.
Step 6
Cover with the second rectangle and press along the edges with a fork. Pierce the top of the rectangle with a toothpick in 4 places. Repeat with the second disc.
Step 7
Wrap the cakes in plastic wrap and place in the freezer for 2 hours.
Step 8
Preheat oven to 375C. Bake 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool.
Step 9
Prepare the icing. Pour the powdered sugar and vanillin into a small saucepan, pour 3 tablespoons of water. Heat over a fire until the icing sugar dissolves and the mass becomes homogeneous without lumps. Add 1 more tablespoon if necessary. water or 1 tbsp. icing sugar. Use a brush to apply the icing to the finished cakes. When the frosting begins to harden a little, decorate with confectionery powder and leave the frosting to solidify at room temperature.
