This recipe is dedicated to all lovers of the cuisine of the Land of the Rising Sun, to all those who are addicted to such a traditional Japanese dish as sushi.

At first glance, the process of preparing this cold appetizer itself is quite simple. But the catch can lie in wait at the final stage - twisting and shaping with the help of a special makisu bamboo rug. Therefore, for those who do not yet have sufficient skill in rolling and cutting sushi, a delicious layered sushi cake will be an excellent alternative.

It is necessary

  • - 120 gr. rice (preferably special for sushi)
  • - 4 tbsp. spoons of rice vinegar
  • - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt
  • - 2-4 nori sheets
  • - 500 gr. fresh (or lightly salted) salmon
  • - 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • - 1-2 fresh cucumbers
  • - 1 avocado
  • - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of sesame seeds
  • The ingredients are for 6-7 servings.

Instructions

Step 1

120 g soak rice (preferably specially designed for making sushi) in cold water for 1 hour. In the meantime, we are preparing a gas station: we take 4 tbsp. tablespoons of rice vinegar, heat, then dissolve 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt. Leave to cool.

We put the rice on a sieve or colander, let it dry and after 20 minutes you can start cooking it. Boil rice in 350 ml. water, cook over high heat for 5 minutes under a lid. Then reduce heat to low and cook for another 5 minutes. Turn off the stove, leave it under the lid for another 10 minutes. Add the previously prepared vinegar and mix. While the rice is cooling, we prepare the products for the layers of our cake.

Step 2

500 gr. cut fresh or lightly salted salmon into small pieces. Mix with 4 tbsp. tablespoons of sesame seeds and 2-3 tbsp. spoons of soy sauce. We put it in the refrigerator for a while.

1 fresh cucumber (if small, then 2 pcs.) Peel and cut into thin slices.

1 avocado, also peeled and chopped.

Place 1-2 sheets of nori algae on the bottom of a sliding cake pan, adjust to size.

Step 3

Now let's get down to the layers.

1 layer - tamped rice (we do it with wet hands so that the rice does not stick). 2nd layer - cucumbers. Layer 3 - avocado. 4th layer - fish. Place the nori leaves again and repeat the sequence of all layers. Done! We put it in the refrigerator until the delicious food is served on the table. We look forward to gastronomic ecstasy!
