Traditional Japanese cuisine - sushi - has firmly won our hearts. Sushi is made with rice and a variety of fillings including vegetables, fish and seafood. The "nishiki" variety is used for making sushi from rice. If you don't find it, you can replace it with "basmati". The fish is mainly seafood: tuna, salmon, sea bass. It is necessary

    • Rice sauce:
    • 1 cup rice vinegar
    • 6 tablespoons of sugar
    • 1.5 teaspoons of salt
    • 900 gr. rice nishiki
    • 1 liter of water
    • 300 gr. raw or smoked salmon fillet
    • 1 long cucumber
    • 1 avocado
    • 1 makisu mat
    • nori
    • pickled ginger
    • wasabi
    • soy sauce

Instructions

Step 1

Cooking a dressing for rice.

Add sugar and salt to the vinegar.

Step 2

We put the vinegar on a small fire and stir continuously until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved. Do not boil the vinegar, just warm it up.

Rinse the rice with cold water several times (5-6 times) until the water is completely transparent.

Pour all the water from the rice through a sieve.

Pour rice with water, put on high heat until boiling, about 10 minutes.

Then close the pan with a lid, reduce heat to low and cook for another 10 minutes.

Turn off the heat and leave the rice under the lid for another 15 minutes.

Pour the rice into another container and gradually pour in the vinegar dressing, stirring.

We put the rice to cool to room temperature.

Cut the cucumber into strips.

Divide the avocado into quarters, remove the pit, peel.

Blot the salmon fillet with a paper towel.
