Tasty stew meat is obtained by many chefs. Typically, a variety of vegetables are added to such dishes. But if you do not have a desire to engage in cutting for a long time, you can try to cook pork in an unusual way. This method requires only meat, onions and a set of spices. Especially such a dish can please kebab lovers - there is definitely something in common between them.

It is necessary

  • - pork (it is better to take the pulp with fat) - 1200 g;
  • - onions - 5 pcs.;
  • - coriander (dried cilantro) - 2 tsp;
  • - cumin - 2 tsp;
  • - bay leaves - 3 pcs.;
  • - ground black pepper - 1 tsp;
  • - red hot pepper - 2-3 pinches;
  • - salt;
  • - sunflower oil for frying;
  • - frying pan, saucepan.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the pork, pat dry with paper towels and cut into large pieces. Then put them in a bowl.

Step 2

Grind the coriander and cumin (you can heat the spices in a mortar or walk over them with a rolling pin). Then add them to the meat along with the peppers and salt (at least 1 teaspoon). Mix everything together well, cover with a lid or cling film and put in the refrigerator to marinate for 1-2 hours.

Step 3

Take a frying pan, heat it well. Pour in some sunflower oil and place the meat in 1 layer. Clarification: if the meat is with a decent amount of fat, then you do not need to add oil. As soon as it is golden brown, transfer it to a saucepan. Immediately put the second batch into the pan, which you also need to fry, and then transfer to the pan.

Peel the onions, chop them in half rings and place them on the meat. Add the bay leaf immediately and stir. Pour 1 cup of hot water (about 200 ml) into the pan where the meat was fried and let it brew a little to melt all the fat. Then pour this water into a saucepan for the meat. Add more water if necessary to cover the contents of the pot and place on the stove.

Step 5

Bring to a boil, then reduce the temperature and simmer under a closed lid for 1 hour. At the very end, taste the broth - add salt if necessary.

Step 6

Once the meat is tender, it can be served immediately. Best of all together with any side dish - potatoes, pasta or rice, while pouring abundantly with aromatic meat broth.
