In China, the Dragon Well is so prized that traditional festivals held annually in Hangzhou, the homeland of tea, are dedicated to it. The variety itself comes from Zhejiang province. This province is the only place in China where, due to unique conditions, tea bushes grow, giving a unique drink with unique taste. Once you have tasted Long Jing, you will never forget its taste: it organically combines chocolate and floral notes, leaving a pleasant sweetish and fresh aftertaste.

In terms of appearance, the Dragon Well is distinguished by glossy, elongated leaves of a rich green color. The leaves look almost fresh as they are not fermented after harvest, but partially roasted. This stops natural fermentation and dries up the leaf at the same time. During such drying, the leaves do not lose any of the nutrients, so they are a kind of concentrate of essential oils, vitamins and microelements. The price of Long Jing can be different: like other Chinese varieties, it depends on the quality of the leaves, the time of harvest, and strict adherence to the rules for processing raw materials. In order to prepare a high-quality product, only the top two leaves are traditionally collected from the bushes on the plantation.

Fresh and high quality Long Jing always has a very rich emerald green infusion, which fully justifies its title of green tea. The infusion has a pronounced orchid aroma. This fragrance is so strong that it is remembered for a long time: once you smell and taste the Dragon Well, you will not confuse it with anything.

Why is the Dragon Well useful? Even in ancient Chinese medicine, it was believed that it is indispensable for improving and stabilizing digestion, the circulatory system, and also for the lungs. Thanks to a certain combination of nutrients, Long Jing effectively fights diseases of the respiratory system. In addition, it neutralizes free radicals, prevents early aging, like other unfermented green teas.
