You can turn Christmas into a real fairy tale, celebrate the holiday like in a movie, at a magnificently decorated table, even if you do not have the opportunity to fill it with expensive delicacies. You can turn an ordinary dinner into a Christmas one with the help of a ceremonial tablecloth, unusually folded napkins, cute fairy figurines, aromas and serving.
Instructions
Step 1
If you decide to set the table the way our ancestors did at Christmas, stock up on some hay. Lay it out on a table top and then cover it with a white tablecloth with red embroidery. The white tablecloth is a symbol of purity and snow, the scarlet one is the blood of the Savior, born into the world. Be sure to cook kutya, even if you don't really like it. Put some kutya in a small gilded or glass dish and place a beautiful lighted candle in it. This dish should be in the center of the table.
Step 2
If you are not going to decorate the table in an authentic style, then still pay attention to such an element of decor as candles. The shops now have a large assortment of candles - from classic to the most unusual. Place them in small candlesticks, it is good if they are made of colored crystal or glass so that the flame reflects in them. You can use a large low vase instead of candlesticks. Fill it with water and float several lighted candles (these small scented candles are sold in special metal stands). You can put flower buds in the water. They will draw attention to themselves by moving slowly over the surface of the water and by the reflections of a flame in the crystal. This is a mesmerizing sight. In the room, it is best to dim or turn off the electric lights during dinner
Step 3
Fold napkins in the shape of angel wings and place on the plates of each guest. To do this, you will need a square napkin, tinsel or red thread, an angel figurine (it can be a Christmas tree toy or an angel cut out of a postcard). Fold the napkin so that you have a triangle. Now step back from the fold a couple of centimeters and collect part of the napkin with an accordion so that you get long sharp "ears". Connect them, and at the bottom tie a napkin with a thread, attach an angel figurine
Step 4
Be sure, even if you did not buy a Christmas tree for the holidays, decorate the table with its twigs, or thuja twigs, laying out a kind of wreath from it. Decorate them with Christmas tree decorations and candles. If you don't have spruce twigs, then decorate the table with a plate of dill and cherry tomatoes, olives and olives laid out in the form of Christmas balls.
Step 5
Oranges can be made to look like a festive Christmas tree ball by piercing the skin and sticking in clove sticks and garnishing with cling foil.
