Corn is a source of many useful elements, therefore, dishes based on it are not only tasty, but also healthy. For making a hearty cream soup, both fresh and canned food will work.
Ingredients:
- Corn grits - 80 g;
- Hot pepper - 1 pc;
- Fresh corn - 1 ear;
- Turmeric;
- Parsley;
- Salt;
- Garlic - 1 clove;
- Water - 200 ml;
- Onion - 1 pc;
- Corn oil - 70 ml.
Preparation:
- We chop raw corn into individual grains.
- We clean the onion. Cut into large cubes. Chop the peeled garlic into rings along with the pepper.
- We take a saucepan with a thick bottom. Fry chopped onion, pepper and garlic in corn oil (in its absence, it is permissible to take sunflower oil). We achieve a golden hue of vegetables.
- Now it's time to add the corn. Fry over low heat for five minutes.
- We spread well washed corn grits. Add water and salt to taste. Then cover the dishes with a lid and wait until the boil begins.
- Now turn down the heat slightly. We continue braising under the lid until the cereal is completely ready. As it boils, add water in small portions.
- We put a pinch of ground turmeric - it will color our dish in a pleasant sunny color. Cook the soup for another six minutes.
- Equip yourself with a blender and bring the corn soup to a velvety puree. If desired, it is diluted with boiling water.
- Pouring the corn yummy into plates, add a bright accent in the form of chopped fresh parsley.
In addition to the basic vegetables, you can add cauliflower, green peas, zucchini or carrots to the recipe - after boiling, they become soft enough to harmoniously blend into the creamy consistency.
