Ingredients:

  • Corn grits - 80 g;
  • Hot pepper - 1 pc;
  • Fresh corn - 1 ear;
  • Turmeric;
  • Parsley;
  • Salt;
  • Garlic - 1 clove;
  • Water - 200 ml;
  • Onion - 1 pc;
  • Corn oil - 70 ml.

Preparation:

  1. We chop raw corn into individual grains.
  2. We clean the onion. Cut into large cubes. Chop the peeled garlic into rings along with the pepper.
  3. We take a saucepan with a thick bottom. Fry chopped onion, pepper and garlic in corn oil (in its absence, it is permissible to take sunflower oil). We achieve a golden hue of vegetables.
  4. Now it's time to add the corn. Fry over low heat for five minutes.
  5. We spread well washed corn grits. Add water and salt to taste. Then cover the dishes with a lid and wait until the boil begins.
  6. Now turn down the heat slightly. We continue braising under the lid until the cereal is completely ready. As it boils, add water in small portions.
  7. We put a pinch of ground turmeric - it will color our dish in a pleasant sunny color. Cook the soup for another six minutes.
  8. Equip yourself with a blender and bring the corn soup to a velvety puree. If desired, it is diluted with boiling water.
  9. Pouring the corn yummy into plates, add a bright accent in the form of chopped fresh parsley.

In addition to the basic vegetables, you can add cauliflower, green peas, zucchini or carrots to the recipe - after boiling, they become soft enough to harmoniously blend into the creamy consistency.
