For the New Year, I would like to decorate the table with bright, beautifully decorated dishes. The salad according to this recipe gives a huge scope for designer imagination - it can be laid out in any shape, and the pale yellow color will be an excellent background for decoration. Its taste is in no way inferior to traditional Olivier, so the salad will definitely take a crown place on the festive table.

It is necessary

  • - hard cheese - 150 g;
  • - eggs - 6 pcs;
  • - canned fish - 1 can;
  • - onions - 0, 5 heads;
  • - butter - 50 g;
  • - mayonnaise for lubrication;
  • - salt to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Fill the eggs with water and put on the fire. After boiling water, cook for 7-10 minutes - they should be hard-boiled. Then we cool, peel and separate the yolks from the whites. We rub both on a fine grater into separate bowls, salt a little.

Finely grate the hard cheese.

Step 3

We prepare canned fish: pour out the juice from the jar, listen to the ridges, put the fish on a separate plate and knead with a fork until it becomes porridge.

Cut the onion into very small pieces or thin half rings. You can pre-pickle the onions in vinegar if you wish.

Step 5

The butter should be left in the refrigerator - it should be firm before being put into the salad.

Step 6

All components are ready. We take a beautiful dish - one in which the salad will stand on the table.

We begin to lay out the salad in layers. First, lay out the egg whites, grease with a thin layer of mayonnaise. Then - grated cheese, we also grease it. Put canned food in the third layer and mayonnaise again. Put the onion on top. Then we rub 50 g of butter on a grater, put in the next layer and spread evenly. The topmost layer is egg yolks, do not grease them with mayonnaise.

Step 8

If done correctly, the salad will keep the shape you give it. You can lay it out in the form of a simple circle, or you can give it, for example, the shape of the "hero" of the New 2017 - a cockerel. Then, using multi-colored bell peppers, herbs, pieces of cheese and olives, lay out the wings, tail, eyes and beak.
