Juicy pork ham baked in the oven is a feast for the belly. This dish can become the main decoration of the table.
- 1 kg. pork ham,
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 500 ml water,
- 200 ml wine or port,
- 2 tbsp. l. mustard,
- 1 PC. carrot,
- 1 tbsp. l. apple cider vinegar
- 50 ml. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. l. honey,
- 4-5 pcs. black peppercorns,
- 1-2 pcs. bay leaf,
- 20 gr. ginger root,
- dried herbs, salt, spices, herbs to taste.
Peel and rinse the ham. Dip grated ginger, peppercorns, dried herbs, honey and bay leaf into a saucepan with water, cook for 5 minutes. Remove marinade from heat, pour in vinegar, cool. Add alcohol and lemon juice. Place the ham in the marinade, rub the sauce into the pulp with your hands and refrigerate overnight.
Then free the meat from the large bone, in that place, fill it with grated carrots. Lash the rest of the pulp with garlic. Grate the ham with mustard and spices on top, wrap in foil and bake for 1 hour at 200 degrees. Remove the foil and bake the meat until tender, pouring over the juice that stands out. When serving, arrange with herbs.
