Classic Oatmeal Cookie Recipe

Classic oatmeal cookies with a pleasant golden brown color, which gives aromatic cane sugar to baked goods. You will need:

- 1 cup of butter;

- 2 cups cane sugar;

- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract;

- 2 chicken eggs;

- 1 ½ cups of wheat flour;

- 1 teaspoon of salt;

- 3 cups oatmeal.

To make oatmeal cookies, you don't need instant oatmeal, but long-cooked flakes.

Preheat oven to 180C. Beat the softened butter and cane sugar until fluffy, homogeneous, brown with a mixer. Pour in the vanilla, then whisk in the eggs one at a time. Sift flour and salt and add to a bowl in several steps, add oats and knead the dough. Using a tablespoon, place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking parchment, leaving 2 to 3 centimeters between each portion. Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes, depending on how crisp you want them to be. Chill cookies on a baking sheet and then place in an airtight container.

You can add ½ cup chopped nuts to the dough for these cookies, or the same amount of fine, soft, golden raisins.

Salted oatmeal cookies with chocolate

Fans of complex and ambiguous flavors may like salted oatmeal cookies with chocolate. To prepare it, you will need:

- 2 cups oatmeal;

- 1 glass of wheat flour;

- ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon;

- 2 teaspoons of coarse sea salt;

- ½ cup softened butter;

- 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil;

- ½ cup granulated sugar;

- ½ cup brown cane sugar;

- 1 chicken egg;

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract;

- 200 grams of dark chocolate.

Combine the sifted flour with oatmeal, cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of salt in a large bowl. Beat the butter on high speed along with refined and cane sugar until fluffy and smooth, add vanilla and egg, reduce mixer speed to low and add flour gradually. Turn off the mixer and stir in the dark chocolate pieces to the dough. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and sprinkle with the remaining salt. Place a baking sheet with cookies on a medium rack in an oven preheated to 180 ° C. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
