Chips are one of the most popular modern treats. However, bought in a store, they cause great harm to our health, because these chips are not prepared from natural potatoes, they contain a bunch of preservatives, flavor enhancers, etc. If you really want to eat chips, it's best to make them at home!

It is necessary

    • 1 kg of potatoes
    • 1 liter of sunflower oil
    • salt
    • seasonings.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the potatoes. The tubers should be not spoiled, beautiful, even, without eyes and holes. Wash it, peel it, wash it again, cut it neatly into thin slices (about 1-1.5 mm thick) or into strips like McDonald's. Dry the cut pieces thoroughly on a paper towel.

Step 2

Use a container such as a deep skillet or saucepan. If you have a special mesh on the legs, then place it in a container. If not, use a colander, but be sure to secure it so it doesn't touch the bottom.

Step 3

Pour sunflower oil into a container (not all at once, of course), put on the stove, bring the oil to a boil and set to medium heat.

Step 4

Dip the potato slices gently into the oil. Be careful, the oil can click! There should not be too many potatoes in the container, otherwise you will get porridge. Fry the chips until they are golden and crispy, turning each chip separately with two forks.

Step 5

Take out the first batch of chips, place on a paper towel, and wait for excess oil to drain. Sprinkle with salt and seasonings of your choice.

Step 6

Cook the rest of the potatoes in the same way as the first. Add oil to the container from time to time.
