Silver carp, nicknamed the "water goat" by the Chinese, is considered a dietary and easily digestible fish that is excellent for heart and stomach diseases, chronic gastritis and acidity.
You can cook a large number of all kinds of dishes from silver carp, for example, fry, marinate, make aspic or bake in the oven. It is the baked silver carp that has a delicate taste and pleasant aroma.
Oven baked silver carp
To prepare this dish you will need:
- 1 kg silver carp;
- lemon - 1 pc.;
- onions - 1 pc.;
- carrots - 1 pc.;
- garlic - 2-3 cloves;
- parsley - 1 bunch;
- salt, pepper - to taste and desire;
- 5 tbsp. l. mayonnaise;
- vegetable oil (for frying).
Scale the silver carp, gut the fish and then rinse thoroughly. Next, rub the silver carp with a mixture of salt and ground black pepper. You can also use any spice you like for fish.
Peel and chop the onions. Carrots should be washed, peeled and finely grated. Rinse the parsley under running water, then chop finely. Transfer all ingredients (onions, carrots, parsley) to a deep container and add mayonnaise, then salt and pepper. The sauce for stuffing silver carp is ready. Also peel the garlic and crush it finely, then sprinkle on the fish.
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil so that the fish does not stick or burn in the future. You can use olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Put the silver carp on a baking sheet and place in the oven, preheated to 180 ° C, for 30 minutes.
After 20 minutes, remove the baking sheet with fish from the oven and make small cuts on the silver carp, into which you need to insert lemon slices in the future. Next, put the baking sheet back in the oven and bake until cooked.
The silver carp baked in the oven is completely ready, it can be served with any side dish: mashed potatoes, pasta or vegetables. When serving fish, do not forget to garnish it with sprigs of parsley or dill.
