Can you imagine your life without salt? Salt is very important and extremely beneficial for the body. Nevertheless, now more and more often you can hear about the dangers of salt, which has already been dubbed "white poison". The truth is that a complete and unconditional rejection of salt for life will not bring anything good, because salt replenishes our body with the sodium it needs so much, which it is not able to produce on its own.

What is the harm?

The harm of salt lies in its excessive use, which is fraught with stagnation of fluid in the body, leading to edema, problems with the heart and kidneys will be added to everything, and there is not far from shortness of breath with obesity.

In recent years, salt intake has grown rapidly. This is due to an overall decline in healthy eating practices. Increasingly, semi-finished products, mercilessly stuffed with salt and various seasonings, end up on the table, so it is important to make a choice in favor of healthy and necessarily natural products. The diet does not aim to eliminate salt from the diet completely, but its amount should be kept to a minimum. A very important point should be that the food does not need to be salted during the cooking process, but to do this at the very end, it is best to add salt to the prepared food. If the taste of the food seems completely bland, then soy sauce can come to the rescue.

How to protect yourself from harmful products?

A salt-free diet comes with a lot of restrictions. You need to give up semi-finished products, pickles, smoked products, various marinades and everything that is clearly crammed with a huge amount of salt. When it comes to cooking, it is recommended to focus on boiling, stewing, steaming or baking. Fried foods should be banned. Also, fatty meats, poultry and fish should be banned. You should not eat pastries and foods with a high sugar content, such as grapes.

The diet should alternate between meat, fish and chicken. It is also worth adding light vegetable broths, a small amount of rye bread, lean cookies, vegetables (both raw and cooked), boiled eggs (no more than a piece per day), cereals, dairy products (not fatty and without flavoring)). Dried fruits will also be useful, but it is important to know when to stop and not to forget about their calorie content. You need to drink plenty of clean water, weak black or green tea, fresh fruit or dried fruit compotes.

General recommendations

The daily diet should be based on five meals. The most dense will be: breakfast and lunch. There should be two small snacks between the main meals. The diet is designed for 14 days. In two weeks, your body will not only be cleansed of salt and excess fluid reserves, the amount of body fat will decrease, but it will also get used to new nutritional guidelines. Avoiding excessive salinity will open your eyes to the real taste of healthy food, help keep your body toned and stay healthy.
