There are many interpretations of this dish in the world - "Caesar" is prepared with poultry meat, seafood, meat semi-finished products and so on. The origin story of Caesar salad

The beloved Caesar salad was invented in the United States. This mouth-watering salad owes its origin to the Italian émigré Cesare Cardini, who left his homeland and moved to America with his brother after the end of the First World War. At that time, the United States had a prohibition law. But the brothers were distinguished by their ingenuity and resourcefulness. Not far from the state border in Mexico, they opened a restaurant with a casino. There was no end to the clientele, tired of Prohibition. It was then that the salad appeared, named after its author Cesare.

The food, which served as a snack for alcoholic beverages, did not differ in the variety of ingredients. It was invented literally "on the go" from what was at that moment at hand. Despite this, the restaurant guests liked the dish very much. Thanks to this, Cesare and "Caesar" achieved real fame not only in America, but also in many countries of the world.

- sliced loaf of white flour or white bread - 0, 5 packages;

- hard cheese - 50 g (it is better to take Parmesan);

- chicken eggs at room temperature - 2 pcs.;

- garlic - 4 cloves;

How to make delicious salad croutons

Regardless of which Caesar salad recipe you use, crackers refer to those components that are absolutely necessary and not replaceable. For their preparation, take white bread or a loaf. Cut off all the crusts and cut into cubes. Peel the garlic cloves. Crush three of them with a knife, the last clove will be needed a little later.

After that, take a frying pan and, when it warms up properly, pour olive oil into it. After that, add the garlic and lightly fry it so that the olive oil absorbs all the garlic notes. When the garlic starts to be covered with toasted crust, remove it. Place the bread cubes in a skillet and fry them on all sides in fragrant oil, stirring occasionally. Once they are well done, transfer them from the speed to a separate plate.

Prepare a large flat salad bowl - "Caesar" is to be assembled right in it. Rub the bottom and sides of the salad bowl with the remaining clove of garlic and cover them with lettuce leaves. Brush the salad with olive oil.

Now you need to make a refueling. Place eggs at room temperature in a small saucepan of water and bring to a boil. This point is quite important: if the eggs are from the refrigerator, there is a high probability that they can crack during the boiling process, which is not permissible for this recipe. After boiling, boil the eggs for 1 minute, so that they only have time to "grab" slightly. Then immediately remove the pot from the stove. Drain the water, and cool the eggs under running cold water.

While the eggs are cooling, grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Break the cooled eggs and pour them into a deep bowl. Add olive oil, black pepper, some salt and grated cheese. Mix everything together well.

When all the preparatory work is completed, you can start decorating the dish. Place the croutons in a salad bowl on top of the lettuce leaves. Pour the egg cheese dressing over them, then drizzle with lemon juice. Caesar salad is ready. Despite the fact that it is quite easy to prepare, it can be safely attributed to a real masterpiece of culinary art.
