Risotto is a traditional Italian dish that has become more widespread in the north of the country. In translation from Italian "risotto" means "small rice". For the preparation of this dish, rice of the highest grade, rich in starch, is used. The main ingredient of the dish is rice, but additional ingredients can be fruits, berries, meat, seafood, herbs. That is why there are more than a hundred recipes for preparing risotto. A simple, quick, but no less delicious dish is chicken risotto.
It is necessary
- - chicken (1/2 carcass);
- - vegetable oil (2-3 tablespoons);
- - long grain rice (300 g);
- - milk (3 glasses);
- - onions (1 pc);
- - garlic (2 cloves);
- - spices: ginger powder, paprika, curry powder, salt (to taste);
- - red and green hot peppers (1 pc);
- - boiled eggs (2-3 pcs).
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the rice well in running water, then leave in a colander for 30 minutes to remove excess water.
Step 2
In a preheated saucepan with the addition of vegetable oil, fry the chopped garlic and chopped onions until golden brown. Add rice, stir and, stirring, leave on the fire for another two minutes.
Step 3
Continuing to stir, gradually pour in milk (all 3 glasses). Season with salt and ginger powder and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Cover the pan to swell the rice.
Step 4
When the milk boils, the heat should be reduced and the rice mass should be boiled for another 20 minutes. After the time has elapsed, remove the lid from the pan and check the readiness of the rice.
Step 5
If ready, you need to stir it with a fork so that the remaining milk evaporates. Season with curry powder.
Step 6
Cut the chicken into small pieces (cubes or short strips). Fry the chicken in vegetable oil until cooked.
Step 7
Put rice in a heap on a heated dish. Arrange hot red and green peppers in thin strips, decorate with them rice. Boiled eggs can be cut into circles, halves, or wedges. Place chicken and egg pieces on a plate of rice.
Step 8
Sprinkle the chicken risotto with paprika and serve.
