Zebra pie was one of the most popular pies in Soviet times; not a single children's celebration could do without it. It is very simple to create a pattern that resembles an African horse, for this you need to prepare two types of dough.
Food preparation
In order to make the Zebra pie, you will need: 390 g of wheat flour, 400 g of granulated sugar, 200 g of sour cream, 200 g of margarine, 5 chicken eggs, 2 tbsp. l. cocoa powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 chocolate bar.
Cooking Zebra
To make a pie, first of all, break the eggs into the blender bowl, and then put the granulated sugar there. Whisk the ingredients until light, fluffy. It doesn't matter if you don't have a blender, you can handle it with an ordinary hand whisk.
Put the required amount of sour cream into the beaten egg mass, add a teaspoon of baking soda. You do not need to extinguish the soda, sour cream will do it itself. Melt margarine over low heat. When it has cooled slightly, pour it over the rest of the ingredients. Add sifted flour and mix well.
Next, divide the dough into two equal portions. Set aside one part, and add cocoa powder to the second. You now have two types of dough: plain and chocolate. Take a mold and grease it with vegetable oil. Pour the white and chocolate dough into it alternately, doing this with a spoon. Each time pour the mass into the center, this will create circles, which will make the pattern even and beautiful as a result.
Bake Zebra Pie for 1 hour at 170 degrees. Do not set the temperature too high, the cake may crack. Pour melted chocolate over the finished baked goods.
