Jambalaya is a traditional Creole meat dish that resembles pilaf. Despite the large number of ingredients, the dish is easy to prepare.
It is necessary

- - 400 g of small shrimps,
- - 2 glasses of chicken broth,
- - ½ onion heads,
- - 1 tbsp. sunflower or butter,
- - 3 carrots,
- - 1 tsp hot sauce
- - 1 tsp paprika,
- - a whisper of black pepper,
- - 450 g of savory sausages,
- - 3 cups of rice,
- - 4 stalks of celery,
- - 1 bell pepper,
- - a pinch of salt,
- - thyme,
- - 5 tbsp. tomato paste
- - 4 tomatoes,
- - 4 cloves of garlic.
Instructions
Step 1
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add onions there and cook until tender. Then add the sliced sausages. It is necessary to move the onions along the edges so that the sausages are thoroughly fried.
Step 2
Next, add chopped celery, garlic and carrots. Sprinkle everything with Italian herbs, thyme, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly so that the components are evenly distributed in the mixture.
Step 3
Then add tomatoes, tomato paste, bell peppers, rice and hot sauce. Then pour in the chicken broth.
Step 4
Stir, bring to a boil, cover pan and cook jambalaya over moderate heat for 45 minutes.
Step 5
When the jambalaya is done, add the peeled shrimp and cook for another 5 minutes. The dish must be served hot.
