How to diversify your breakfast? Only original pancakes with coconut syrup.
It is necessary
- Poi (mashed taro root), pre-frozen - 1/4 cup,
- egg - 2 pcs,
- milk - 1 glass,
- sifted wheat flour - about 320 grams,
- sugar - 1 tbsp. the spoon,
- baking powder - 4 teaspoons,
- some salt
- coconut syrup.
Instructions
Step 1
Defrost the poi with a little water in the microwave. Freezing is needed to prevent fermentation.
Step 2
Beat eggs in a large bowl.
Melt a little butter and a glass of milk in a saucepan. Cool slightly and add milk to pre-beaten eggs.
Step 3
Take another bowl and mix together 320 grams of flour, four teaspoons (no top) of baking powder, a tablespoon of sugar and a little salt (to taste). Add eggs to the flour mixture and mix well, but do not mix for long.
Step 4
Add poi to the flour mixture. Poi should be added before baking. Poi gives the pancakes softness and tenderness, but do not add too much of it to the dough so that future pancakes will not turn out to be dull.
Step 5
Preheat a pancake or frying pan and lay out the dough, fry until golden brown. We fry in the same way as regular pancakes.
Pour the finished pancakes with coconut syrup, which can be replaced with any other syrup. Personally, I liked the strawberry and peach. Serve with warm herbal tea.
