Instructions
Step 1
Heat the oven to 150 degrees. Rinse the meat, cut into small cubes. Finely chop the bacon and fry in a saucepan for about 3 minutes, until the fat is melted out of it.
Step 2
Add meat to bacon and fry for 10 minutes until crusty. Put out from a saucepan.
Step 3
Peel the onion and chop finely. Peel the carrots and cut into large cubes. Then fry in the fat formed from the meat for about 10 minutes. Add bay leaves, chopped herbs and meat.
Step 4
Pour in broth, bring to a boil and salt. Cover the saucepan with a lid and simmer the stew in the oven for about 1.5 hours, until the meat is tender.
Step 5
Add the green peas to the stew and cook for another 5 minutes.
