Cook whole, bright green pods that are densely packed with grains but soft to the touch. Wash fresh green peas in cool water, separate the beans from the pods.

Boil a large amount of water in a saucepan. Place the green peas in small portions in boiling water. Boiling should not stop. Then cover the pan with a lid and set aside. Set the fire to maximum. Immerse freshly frozen green peas in boiling water without first defrosting, so it will be tastier and more vitamins will be retained in it. Add some sugar when cooking green peas. This will help maintain the vivid natural color of the beans. For taste and aroma, you can also put 1-2 sprigs of fresh mint in the broth.
Step 5
Cook the green peas for 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the ripeness of the fruit and the variety. The grains should remain intact, but soft, with a delicate skin. Drain the finished green peas in a colander and let the water drain. Then salt and pepper.

Combine boiled green peas with sweet-tasting vegetables such as carrots, onions, beets, and potatoes. Boiled peas can also be added to soups, salads. If you want to make mashed potatoes from boiled green peas, then wipe or knead the grains immediately after boiling while still hot so that the mass turns out to be homogeneous, without lumps.

Dip the peas in ice water to stop cooking, then refrigerate if you don't want to use the boiled peas right away. Then heat it up in a mixture of butter and water. For 1 part oil, take 2 parts water.
