Real feta cheese is made in Greece, and only from sheep's milk. The history of this product goes back over 3000 years, its recipe is described in Homer's Odyssey. The expressive and salty taste of this cheese with a pleasant sourness will add new gastronomic flavors to neutral dishes. Potatoes baked with feta get a delicate milky aroma and rich taste.
It is necessary
-
- potatoes - 500 g;
- feta - 100 g;
- tomatoes - 500 g;
- olives;
- vegetable broth - 200 ml;
- butter - 50 g;
- salt;
- a bunch of parsley and oregano;
- garlic - 2 cloves.
Instructions
Step 1
Cook the vegetable broth. To do this, boil a liter of water, place a whole onion, celery root, parsley root and a whole peeled carrot in it. Season the vegetables with salt and cook for 25-30 minutes.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes, cut them into large pieces and make deep cuts in them. Dip the tomatoes in boiling water for a couple of minutes, peel them and cut them into large slices. Chop the oregano and parsley.
Step 3
Grease a baking tray with vegetable oil, put tomato slices on it, salt, pepper and sprinkle with oregano. On top of the tomatoes, lay the slices of potatoes with the notches up, cover with vegetable broth and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
Step 4
While the vegetables are baking, chop the feta into small pieces. Chop the garlic and parsley, cut the olives into quarters and mix all the ingredients in the butter. Spread the mixture over the potatoes and bake for another 7 minutes.
Step 5
You can cook potatoes with feta and garlic in portions. To do this, wash the tubers, but do not peel them. Make a wedge-shaped cut in each potato lengthwise so that wedges are cut out of them, like cutting a slice from a watermelon. Combine feta with butter and garlic, salt and place mixture in the slits on the tubers. Brush each potato with vegetable oil and wrap each one tightly in foil. Place the potatoes in the oven and bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
