Rice combined with cranberries and pistachios will make a surprisingly elegant side dish for meat dishes!
It is necessary
- - 1 tbsp. olive oil;
- - 0, 25 st. dried cranberries;
- - 1/6 Art. peeled pistachios;
- - 1/6 Art. almonds;
- - 1 tbsp. pomegranate extract;
- - 1 tbsp. Indian rice;
- - 2 tbsp. boiling water;
- - salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a wide saucepan and add cranberries and almonds with pistachios in it. Both berries and nuts can be pre-cut into pieces if desired.
Step 2
Add rice and fry it for 2-3 minutes, remembering to stir so that it does not burn. Add pomegranate extract, pour in boiling water and add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Bring the contents of the saucepan to a simmer over moderate heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pan and cook for about 15 minutes: the rice should absorb all the water. In this case, do not stir the contents of the pan!
Step 4
Remove from heat and let it brew for another 15 minutes. Only now stir the rice with a fork and serve!
