Flan is a type of French dessert that began to be prepared back in the 18th century. Of course, over such a long period of existence, this dessert has undergone multiple changes. Now there are many recipes for making flan, one of them is banana-grapefruit.
It is necessary
- - 200 g of sugar;
- - 60 ml of brandy;
- - 50 g flour;
- - 20 g of icing sugar;
- - 10 g butter;
- - 2 grapefruits;
- - 2 bananas;
- - 2 eggs;
- - 2 egg yolks.
Instructions
Step 1
Squeeze the juice from the grapefruit, strain it into a saucepan, add butter, 2 egg yolks and flour there. Put on fire, cook like a custard, stirring constantly.

Peel bananas, cut into slices, mix with sugar. Pour 60 ml of brandy into them, mix again. Set aside for now.
Step 3
Divide two eggs into yolks and whites. Beat the yolks together with a small amount of sugar until frothy, add to the cream, stir. Remove the saucepan from the stove and let the contents cool.
Step 4
Whisk the whites with powdered sugar, add to the grapefruit-yolk mixture, mix it thoroughly.
Step 5
Grease the portioned baking tins with oil, fill them halfway: first put the banana slices in sugar and cognac, then fill them with the resulting aromatic mixture. Place the molds in the oven.
Step 6
Bake the banana-grapefruit flan for about 20 minutes, the oven must be preheated to 220 degrees, at this temperature and cook. This French dessert must be served hot, so do not wait, after 20 minutes, take out the portion molds from the oven and serve the treat directly into them on the table.
