It is extremely important to drink as much fluid as possible to stay hydrated on hot summer days. If you don't always want to drink plain water, then you can try to diversify the menu with the help of berry fruit drinks.
Refreshing drinks from summer berries and fruits quench thirst well and saturate the body with useful vitamins. Unlike compotes, berry fruit drinks require minimal heat treatment, so the nutrients in them are stored in maximum volume. An easy-to-make drink benefits the entire body.
Raspberry juice
A fragrant drink made from fresh raspberries has a very bright and pronounced taste. To prepare it, you will need the following ingredients:
- 1.5 cups fresh raspberries
- 40 g sugar;
- 1 liter of water.
Wash and chop raspberries with a regular spoon or fork. Pour the resulting mass with water and mix well. Put the berry solution on low heat and bring to a boil. After boiling, boil the berry juice for no more than 5-7 minutes. At the final stage, add some sugar and stir well. Strain the almost finished berry juice through a sieve with cheesecloth and let the drink sit in a cold place for at least 5-6 hours before serving.
Please note that raspberries go well with many pastry spices, so if you wish, you can experiment and add a little cinnamon, vanilla, anise, star anise or cardamom to the drink during the cooking process.
Sea buckthorn fruit drink
This extremely healthy drink is very easy to prepare. The classic sea buckthorn fruit drink recipe includes only three main ingredients:
- 300 g sea buckthorn;
- 4 tablespoons of honey;
- 1 liter of water.
For the preparation of sea buckthorn fruit drink, you can use both fresh and frozen berries. Both those and others must first be prepared. Fresh berries should first be sorted out of garbage and washed thoroughly, and frozen berries should be allowed to thaw a little.
Grind prepared sea buckthorn berries with a blender until puree. Throw the berry puree into a fine sieve and rub through it. As a result, you should get an almost pure juice without any impurities and grains.
Add some honey and water to the remaining cake and bring it to a boil over medium heat. You can boil the cake for a maximum of 2-3 minutes, after which it must be left on the stove to cool for about 20-30 minutes.
Strain the resulting broth through a fine sieve with gauze and add the previously prepared sea buckthorn juice. Sea buckthorn juice should be consumed chilled. Sea buckthorn berry fruit drink has high healing properties.
Strawberry juice
Strawberry berry juice will always delight you with excellent taste and aroma. The drink refreshes well and quenches thirst. To prepare it, you need to take:
- 400 g fresh or frozen strawberries;
- 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
- 1 liter of water;
- 1-2 g citric acid or 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Grind the washed and peeled strawberries with a blender to a puree-like consistency. Add sugar and citric acid to the resulting mass. Instead of citric acid, you can use freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Pour the berry mass with hot water and mix well. Bring the mixture to a boil over low heat and cool. Strain the resulting broth through a sieve with gauze and cool again.
Freshly prepared strawberry juice contains a lot of vitamins, but in young children it can cause an unwanted allergic reaction. Serve the strawberry juice chilled. You can use small mint leaves for decoration.
Fruit drink from oranges and lemons
This energizing drink based on lemons and oranges is packed with antioxidants and vitamins. With its regular use, immunity is guaranteed to increase and metabolism is accelerated.
A simple citrus fruit drink recipe includes the following ingredients:
- 1 lemon;
- 4 oranges;
- 1 liter of water;
- 100 g of sugar.
Wash and peel citrus fruits. Squeeze citrus juice from the pulp, and finely chop the peel. Mix the juice with the crushed peel, add sugar and cover with water. Bring the mixture to a boil. Cook over low heat for no more than 5 minutes. Strain the slightly cooled broth through a sieve and leave to infuse in a cool place for 1-2 hours. Citrus fruit drinks are best consumed chilled. It is recommended to drink it in small sips in order to fully enjoy its bright and rich taste.
