If you really wanted to try real heavy cream without various additives, then you can do it yourself only from fresh cow's milk. At the same time, milk will be fatter in summer, when the cow feeds on fresh grass, which means there will be more cream.

Step 1
The first way to get cream is the simplest: you need to take fresh milk and put it in a cool place. After a while (about a day), the milk will settle and a layer of cream will form on top.

Then it will need to be carefully drained so as not to mix with the milk. For this, there are special spoons - creamers. They are very convenient for collecting settled fat.

Another method requires a little skill and the presence of a separator - a milk purifier, with the help of which there is a separation into skim milk and cream.

To do this, fresh milk is poured into the apparatus and then the fat content is adjusted, i.e. if desired, you can get not only cream, but also leave some fat content for milk. This process will take enough time. However, in the end you will get products free of contamination. Cream made this way tends to taste better. They are also easier to beat into butter.

Choose the method that suits you best, and do not forget, the most important thing is to use only fresh milk.
