Much has been said and written about the benefits of milk and dairy products. Every loving mother dreams of her baby being sick as little as possible. Milk can play an important role in strengthening a child's immunity.
Despite the fact that recently many young children suffer from various types of allergies, including cow's milk protein, the introduction of dairy products into the child's diet at one time or another in life is simply necessary.
Currently, pediatricians recommend introducing fermented milk products as the first milk supplement, which can have a positive effect on the immature intestines of a child and protect against the consequences of dysbiosis. Kefir and fermented milk mixtures are very effective in preventing disease. Most supermarkets in large settlements have specialized departments offering various products for children. Despite the large selection of dairy products, it is very difficult to find, for example, kefirs without additives and sweeteners. The problem is that kefirs (without additives, used from 8 months) stored for 14 days, over time, begin to have a fixing effect. Therefore, they are not suitable for complementary foods for children suffering from constipation.
Where can I get healthy and fresh kefir? Many localities have small natural food retail chains. Unfortunately, you cannot find fresh dairy products in all cities and towns. The most conscientious parents prefer to cook kefir at home.
Kefir recipe: 2 teaspoons of kefir fungus (you can buy in a health food store) are mixed with a glass of cooled and pre-boiled milk and left for 10 hours. The resulting mass is gently mixed and allowed to settle for a short time. Then the fungus is separated from the fermented milk with gauze.
The resulting semi-finished product is placed in a refrigerator for 10 hours, where the fermentation process continues. It is better to place the container with kefir on the lowest shelf. The starter culture can be rinsed with cold water and used again.
Whole milk is quite difficult to digest in children under 3 years old, and it is generally contraindicated for infants. Nevertheless, the benefits of milk in the absence of contraindications are undeniable. Any type of milk - cow, camel, mare, sheep, goat - contains the most valuable trace elements in various proportions. Goat's milk is especially distinguished, which is closest in composition to female milk. It is absorbed much better than other types of milk. Goat milk contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B12, D, C, as well as manganese, magnesium, phosphorus and copper. The most valuable calcium contained in milk promotes the growth of hair, nails and strengthens the nervous system.
There is an opinion that it is useful to feed babies weaned early with goat milk. At the same time, in 1990, WHO recommended introducing complementary foods with fermented milk products not earlier than 6 months. In any case, you can only experience the benefits of fermented milk and dairy products for your child.
