Baileys is one of the most famous liqueurs in the world. This alcoholic drink was first made in 1974 in Ireland. "Baileys" is prepared from cream and Irish whiskey with the addition of sugar, vanillin, caramel, cocoa and refined vegetable oil. In some varieties of liqueur, mint and coffee are also added. Burning 17% "Baileys" is usually drunk with ice or coffee, and also used as an ingredient for preparing various cocktails.
Baileys layered cocktails
Layered cocktails look very impressive, during the preparation of which the components are not mixed, but are arranged in layers. To prepare one of the most famous cocktails with Baileys liqueur - "B-52" - you will need:
- Baileys liqueur;
- coffee liqueur;
- orange liqueur.
All ingredients for the preparation of this cocktail are taken in equal amounts and pre-cooled well.
Pour the coffee liqueur into the glass first, then very carefully pour the Baileys over a bar spoon or an angled knife blade, and last, also carefully (using a bar spoon or knife), pour in the orange liqueur. The layers in the finished cocktail should not be mixed, but beautifully arranged one above the other. Served and drunk "B-52" without a straw.
The cocktail under the name "Russian flag" looks no less impressive and festive, for the preparation of which you need to take:
- 30 ml of red thick syrup (like Grenadine);
- 30 ml of Curazo Blue liqueur;
- 15 ml of Baileys liqueur;
- 15 ml of vodka.
First of all, mix Baileys cream liqueur with vodka. Then pour the red syrup into the glass in the first layer, carefully pour Curaso Blue liqueur over a bar spoon in the second layer, and Baileys liqueur mixed with vodka in the third one.
Mixed cocktails with Baileys liqueur
Smoothie lovers will surely like the Baileys Smoothie cocktail. To prepare it you will need:
- 100 ml of Baileys liqueur;
- 50 ml of coffee liqueur;
- 50 ml of "Advocate" liqueur;
- 50 ml of cream;
- 3 medium-sized bananas.
Peel the bananas, cut into pieces and place in a blender. Pour in the rest of the ingredients: cream, coffee liqueur, Lawyer and Baileys. Add ice and mix well. Then pour the Baileys Smoothie into tall glasses, insert the straws and serve. If you wish, you can decorate the cocktail with grated chocolate, and instead of Advocate liqueur, use ice cream or any other liqueur with a mild taste.
The Chocolate cocktail is very popular, which is also prepared with the Baileys liqueur. To make this cocktail, you need to take the following ingredients:
- 30 ml of Baileys liqueur;
- 20 ml of chocolate liqueur;
- 10 ml of vodka;
- grated chocolate;
- ice cubes.
Mix in a shaker: vodka, chocolate liqueur, Baileys and ice cubes. Then pour the prepared cocktail into tall glasses and sprinkle generously with grated chocolate. This cocktail can be served instead of dessert. In this case, it is served with ice cream.
