Home "Fanta" will perfectly quench your thirst. Pour 5-6 fresh or dried orange peels with 3 liters of boiling water and let it brew for 24 hours. Then strain the future drink, put on medium heat and bring to a boil. Grind the crusts or pass through a meat grinder and pour the resulting hot solution. Leave it on for another day. Then add 2 kg of sugar and the juice of half a lemon. Boil the syrup, cool and strain. Dilute it to taste with chilled sparkling table water before serving.

Dried, crushed citrus peels are a great flavor for rich baked goods. Add a small amount of such an ingredient to the dough, this will give the baking a pleasant aroma and taste.

You can also make candied fruits from orange peels. To do this, pour fresh crusts with cold water. Insist them for 2 days. At the same time, change the water 2 times a day. Then fill the crusts with fresh water, put on medium heat. After boiling, cook the future candied fruits for 15 minutes. Next, drain the water and rinse the crusts under cold water.

Cut them into small strips, about 0.5 cm wide. Prepare a syrup with 2 glasses of sugar and a glass of water. Bring it to a boil, then dip the candied fruit in it. Simmer until the rind is transparent. Add a little lemon juice a couple of minutes before cooking. After that, the candied fruit must be thrown into a colander so that all the liquid is glass. Sprinkle the finished crusts with granulated sugar or dry a little in the oven. Candied fruits can be served as sweets for tea, they can be used to decorate cakes and pastries, and used as filling for pies.
