Mastic booties are a great option for decorating a cake. A cake decorated with mastic booties, a pacifier and a stroller will be an excellent decoration for the festive table for your baby's birthday.
To create mastic booties you will need:
- ready-made mastic;
- food colorings;
- food glue;
- cardboard;
- pencil;
- scissors.
-
Draw on cardboard the figures shown in the photo (you can draw them "by eye").
-
Use sharp scissors to cut them out.
-
Divide the mastic into two parts. Leave one part as it is, and paint the other pink with food coloring. Roll out the pink mastic into a layer about five millimeters thick, put the cut patterns on it and carefully cut out the blanks with a sharp knife. It is worth noting that it is necessary to use an extremely sharp knife in order to exclude stretching of the mastic.
-
Take an ordinary toothpick (if there are no special tools for mastic) and make holes along the edge of a larger mastic blank, trying to make the distance between them the same.
-
Take the mastic sole and the top of the booties, glue them with food glue. There are marks on the templates; when cutting out parts, these points must be noted, and when gluing, they must be aligned.
-
Create a second bootie in the same way.
-
Roll out a small piece of pink mastic, place a bear-shaped pattern on it and cut out the shape. In the same way, make a second of the same shape.
-
Roll out the natural beige mastic into a layer five millimeters thick and cut out four circles. Two circles with a diameter equal to the diameter of the head of the figure in the form of a bear, two - the diameter of the ears of the figure in the form of a bear. Cut the smaller circles in half and glue the cubs to the ears, first place the large circles evenly on the bears' faces, then gently move them down a little. Cut off excess mastic.
-
Roll two tiny pea-sized balls of pink mastic in your hands.
-
Place the resulting balls on the faces of the bears, shape their noses. Gently make the eyes with a toothpick and paint them black.
-
Glue the resulting figures to the front of the booties.
-
Roll four small balls a little more than a pea in diameter from beige and pink mastic. Press two beige balls with your fingers, put pink balls on the resulting "cakes" and lightly press them down. Use a toothpick to make two holes on the resulting figures. As a result, you should have details that look like buttons.
-
Attach the resulting "buttons" to the side of the booties, simulating fastened straps.
-
Mastic booties are ready. Thus, you can create booties of any color and with any appliqué on the front of the products.
