Since childhood, familiar oranges are no longer considered an exotic fruit on the festive table, but not a single fruit plate can do without them. Garnish the fruit treat with beautifully sliced bright orange slices!
Instructions
Step 1
Orange is a soft citrus fruit. To prevent it from losing its shape and juice, use only a sharp knife for cutting.
Step 2
Rinse the orange well, even if you are not going to serve it with the peel.
Step 3
Slice the orange into rings, cutting across. Move from the stem to the parallel edge. Try to make cuts at an equal distance, then the rings will be even and neat. If you want to make more servings from one orange, divide the finished wedges in half. Eat the fruit by stretching a semicircle with your fingers to free the slices.
Step 4
Cut the orange into slices, keeping the rind as a base. First, divide the orange fruit in half. Lay the half of the orange flat side up and start cutting even slices from one end.
Step 5
Orange can be served in peeled wedges, like a tangerine. To do this, carefully peel the fruit without damaging the flesh. Use your fingers to remove the white film from the orange: this will make the fruit look more aesthetically pleasing. Examine the peeled orange and determine how the slices are positioned. Use a knife to help yourself break the fruit into slices. Peel them off the film.
Step 6
Surprise guests with small orange slices. Slice the orange into rings. Use the tip of a sharp knife to cut the peel from the rings, peeling them and from the film. From the peeled ring along the marked white lines, cut small triangular slices, also peeling their perimeter of film. Place the wedges on a plate, garnish with mint leaves or almonds. Place some crushed ice in the center.
Step 7
Decorate the table with orange suns. Slice the fruit into rings, keeping the skin intact. Cut the orange flesh vertically and turn the ring inside out. So in the middle there will be a bright peel, and around the edges there will be rays of the sun from the pulp of citrus.
