It is difficult to find a person who is indifferent to watermelons. These seasonal fruits refresh and quench thirst in the hot season, but they reach their fullest taste in velvet autumn. To eat a striped berry, the whole family gathers at the table, the head of which has his own surefire way of chopping a watermelon.

Step 1
Place the washed fruit upright in a bowl. Cut off the top with a ponytail and set aside. Cut off a slice of the fruit along with the peel and distribute to the household. Cover the un eaten part of the watermelon with the top and put it in the refrigerator.

Cut the oblong watermelon along its equatorial part, then cut the top in half. Place the pulp quarter on a cutting board, halve and cut the watermelon into neat pieces. Place the wedges on a tray or platter.

Cut the round watermelon into quarters. At the bottom of the quarter, cut off some of the crust so that it sits firmly on the tray. Use a knife to separate the pulp and, without removing it from the crust, cut into pieces. Move the slices alternately in different directions - you get a beautiful cut in a vase.

Cut the watermelon in half along the equator, and place the fruit on a platter. Slice the berry by running a knife from the top downward, slightly rounding the cut. When you take the pieces of watermelon, the rest will be fanned out.
Step 5
Make a fruit salad basket with a watermelon. To do this, mark a middle line on the peel with the tip of a knife, draw two parallel lines upward from it for the future handle. Make the necessary cuts, decorate the upper edge of the basket with cloves, remove the pulp with a spoon. Make a fruit salad using the watermelon pulp and fill the basket with dessert.
Step 6
Having shown imagination, you can cut a watermelon in the form of a boat or a bird. Mark the desired pattern on the peel. Make cuts along the contours, carefully remove the excess rind along with the pulp. When performing a complex shape, cut the watermelon into small pieces so as not to damage the rest. Hand out dessert spoons to the guests to eat the watermelon sculpture.
