You will need two large onions, half a cup of 9% vinegar, a glass of water, and salt and sugar to taste. Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Mix water with salt and sugar, boil and add vinegar at the end. Pour the onion with this hot marinade, cover and let cool. Decorate herring with vegetable oil. The good thing about pickled onions is that you don't have to worry about bad breath. Marinade removes it completely. Store the pickled product in the refrigerator. Use this recipe for any type of meat.

Prepare enough onions to fill a half-liter jar completely, as well as one cup each of vinegar (9%) and water, 1 tbsp. l. sugar, half a teaspoon of salt, a couple of bay leaves, a few peas of allspice and two pieces of cloves. Cut the onion into sectors or rings and place in a special microwave-safe container. Then season with salt and vinegar. Pour water there so that the vegetable is completely immersed in the liquid. Preheat in the microwave for 10 minutes. After that, discard the onions in a colander and place in a cold place.
