Charlotte is a very simple sweet cake that is difficult to spoil. Charlotte with apples is a wonderful dessert. It is also worth baking if you need to use excess apples.
Charlotte is good if it suddenly turned out that somewhere in the corner of the refrigerator there were several apples lying around and they were somewhat wilted. And of course, it is worth baking charlotte, if your garden has such a harvest of apples that you just can't eat it.
For charlotte, you will need the following products: 1 glass of sugar, 1 glass of flour, 5 medium apples, 3 eggs, vanilla sugar to taste (you should put a little vanilla, vanilla or vanilla sugar, otherwise the baked goods may taste bitter), cinnamon to taste.
Cooking charlotte:
Peel and core the apples, cut them into small pieces (but not too small). Beat eggs with sugar with a fork, whisk or mixer, add vanilla sugar, then gradually, little by little, add flour there, constantly stirring the dough. It should turn out to be gentle, fluid enough.
Grease the form (deep frying pan or shallow saucepan), put apples on the bottom and pour the dough on top.
Bake the charlotte in an oven preheated to 180 degrees until tender (it will turn golden).
After baking, remove the charlotte from the mold, sprinkle with ground cinnamon, powdered sugar, or serve as it is.
By the way, charlotte can also be baked with pears, for example, and served with almost any cream or whipped cream.
