It would seem that it could be easier than making a cup of tea. This process has become so much a part of everyday life that it is carried out purely mechanically. But brewing tea in many countries is a whole ceremony with strictly verified actions.
The history of black tea goes back over 3000 years. In China, where the tea drinking culture originated, this drink has undergone all stages of formation - from the simplest initial chewing of tea leaves to the most complicated tea ceremony in its traditions with special methods of brewing and drinking.
Traditional brewing method
The invigorating properties of black tea directly depend on the correct brewing process. It is the correct sequence and correct dosage that determine the beneficial effects of black tea on the body.
First of all, you need to take care of the water. It should not be hard and saturated with mineral salts. The water must first be defended or filtered. For best results, the teapot should be scalded with boiling water and only then filled with dry tea leaves. This process will create the necessary temperature inside the container and the initial steam stimulation to reveal the aroma of dry tea leaves.
Dry tea is taken at the rate of 1 teaspoon per 150 ml of boiling water. After scalding and filling the required amount of brewing, boiling water can be poured no earlier than a minute later, when inside the teapot the dry mass has already breathed in steam and prepares for the release of essential oils.
To brew black tea, the water should be between 90 ° C and 100 ° C. That is, the water is brought to a boil, removed from the heat and poured into the teapot. First, the kettle is filled to 1/3 of its volume and closed with a lid. After a couple of minutes, boiling water is poured to the top and the kettle is wrapped in heat for additional heat treatment. The total brewing time is 4-8 minutes.
Methods of use
Depending on personal tastes and traditions of territorial residence, black tea can be drunk in different ways. Some people drink with milk and sugar, others like a combination of black tea with lemon, bergamot, mint, lemon balm and other flavors. Fans of traditional use drink just black without additives, but with all sorts of sweets with a bite, which emphasize the taste and astringency of well-brewed black tea. It doesn't matter which way of drinking tea can be considered the most correct, the main thing is to brew it correctly in order to enjoy this wonderful drink in its entirety.
