For many, creamy toffee is a real taste of childhood. You can't buy that in the store now, but you can make wonderful toffee at home!
It is necessary
- - 300 g of sugar;
- - 100 g of flower honey (you can do without honey, just add another 100 g of sugar);
- - 100 g of butter;
- - 250 ml heavy cream (sour cream can be used).
Instructions
Step 1
Place honey and sugar in a saucepan or ladle, heat over a fire, melt. On low heat, you need to bring the mass to a boil and cook a little so that it becomes rich amber. This usually takes about 10 minutes. It is important to stir the sweet mixture more often so that it does not burn.
Step 2
The butter should be soft. Divide it into several pieces and place them one by one in a saucepan with sugar syrup. After the introduction of each piece, the mass must be mixed.
Step 3
Heat the cream and pour into the sugar mass in a thin stream. You need to cook the toffee mixture to the desired thickness. Checking readiness is easy enough You should drip a little of the mixture onto a plate and taste when it hardens. If you are satisfied with the taste and consistency of the iris, then you can remove the stewpan from the stove.
Step 4
While the iris is still cooking, you need to prepare a baking sheet in advance. It must be covered with parchment and well greased with oil so that the toffee does not stick. Pour the sweet creamy mass onto a baking sheet and cool slightly so that it stiffens a little, but is not hard.
Step 5
Cut the tiles into pieces. Butterscotch can be of any size and shape. Leave the chopped iris to harden further, then pack in a paper bag or parchment for storage.
