Moskovsky salad is often compared to Olivier, but nevertheless these are two different salads. They have different flavors and slightly different recipes. An interesting fact is that the Moskovsky salad has several varieties, the taste of which is different. Sometimes the recipe becomes "family", each housewife prepares the salad in her own way.

There are three well-known salad options. The classic version, the tomato version and the ham and mushroom recipe. Which particular option to choose for cooking depends on the availability of the right products and your own taste preferences. The differences between all the recipes are not particularly significant.

Moscow salad. Classic recipe

The classic version of the Moscow salad includes the following ingredients: greens (dill, parsley), chicken eggs, pickles, canned peas, carrots, potatoes, smoked sausage.

The salad is dressed with a special sauce. The sauce is made with sour cream, mayonnaise and pepper.

Please note that smoked sausage should be chosen for the salad. It gives the dish a special taste and delicate aroma.

To prepare four servings, you will need four carrots, two bunches of greens, eight eggs, four pickles, a standard jar of peas, six medium-sized potatoes, a glass of sour cream, mayonnaise and 300-500 g of sausage.

Boil carrots, potatoes and chicken eggs. While the ingredients are cooking, cut the smoked sausage into cubes. Dice the carrots, potatoes and eggs. Take a deep bowl and combine the chopped ingredients in it. Add green peas and finely chopped greens.

Now prepare the sauce. Combine 1: 1 sour cream and mayonnaise, season salad and add pepper to taste. The classic salad is ready.

According to the traditional recipe, the Moscow salad always turns out to be very satisfying and tasty. You can decorate the finished dish with fresh herbs.

Another common version of the Moskovsky salad includes tomatoes and cheese. The presence of the tomato gives the salad a fresh taste. The recipe in this case also remains simple.

To prepare four servings, you need to take the following ingredients: boiled sausage - 500 g, chicken eggs - 8 pcs., Tomatoes - 4 pcs., Cheese (it is better to give preference to hard cheese) - 200 g, herbs (dill, parsley) - 2 bunches … The salad, similar to the classic version, is dressed with sauce. The sauce in this case is made from mayonnaise and pepper. You will need to take a 200 ml glass of mayonnaise.

Boil chicken eggs. While the ingredients are cooking, chop the boiled sausage, tomatoes, and cheese. Next, cut the chilled boiled eggs into cubes. Take a deep bowl and combine the chopped ingredients in it. Add finely chopped greens. Season the salad with mayonnaise and pepper to taste. It is convenient to mix mayonnaise and peppers in a separate bowl before adding them to your salad.

This variation of the Moscow salad is perfect for any meal.

Moscow salad with ham and mushrooms

A non-standard, but very tasty variation of the Moscow salad is prepared with ham and mushrooms. If you want to diversify your standard menu or surprise guests, then choose this particular version of the salad recipe. Mushrooms with ham give a very pleasant flavor combination that is characteristic only of these products.

A fresh and hearty salad will surprise even the most demanding guest.

For four servings of salad, you need to take the following ingredients: fresh cucumbers - 8 pcs., Ham - 300-500 g, canned peas - 1 standard can, canned champignons (or other mushrooms of your choice) - 250 g. In this case, the sauce is also prepared from mayonnaise and pepper. Mayonnaise will require one glass of 200 ml. However, you can make a classic sauce by adding sour cream to the mayonnaise in a 1: 1 ratio.

Cut the cucumbers, peel off if desired. In this case, the finished salad will be more tender and have an exquisite taste. Take ham and cut into cubes. Dice the mushrooms. If you come across small mushrooms, you can put them whole in the salad without chopping. Now take a deep bowl and mix the chopped ingredients in it. Add green peas and finely chopped herbs to the bowl. Season the salad and add pepper to taste.

The salad can be garnished with herbs or fresh vegetables. If you put small mushrooms on parsley, then it will look very appetizing. The dish is ready.
