Pork roasted on rosemary skewers is an option for a picnic, but you can grill the meat in the oven as well. To prevent the rosemary sprigs from burning too much during cooking, soak them in water first. You can add pieces of bacon and any vegetables you like to the meat. Also, according to this recipe, mutton is delicious.

It is necessary

  • For four servings:
  • - 500 g of pork neck;
  • - 5 cloves of garlic;
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil, lemon juice;
  • - zest from 1 lemon;
  • - a bunch of fresh herbs;
  • - 20 stems of fresh rosemary;
  • - oregano, coarse salt, black pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the meat - rinse it, cut into small pieces of about 3-4 cm.

Step 2

Now prepare the marinade for the meat. Combine olive oil with grated lemon zest, crushed garlic cloves, chopped fresh herbs, and lemon juice. Salt and pepper the marinade as you like. You can also add spicy dry herbs to it.

Step 3

Put the meat in the marinade, cover with cling film, leave to marinate for at least a few hours. Alternatively, marinate the meat in the refrigerator overnight.

Step 4

Now string the pieces of meat onto the rosemary sprigs. Grill until tender over charcoal or grill in the oven. Whichever cooking method you choose, flip the rosemary sprigs from time to time so that the pork is cooked evenly.

Step 5

It takes about 10-15 minutes to fry pork roasted on rosemary skewers. Serve the meat without removing it from the skewers.
