Normandy is a region of France famous for dairy products, cider, apples and Calvados. Norman Pork is a traditional French recipe that combines the above products. The pork will turn out to be incredibly tasty.
It is necessary
- For four servings:
- - 800 g of pork pulp;
- - 500 ml of cider or apple juice;
- - 50 ml of Calvados (optional);
- - 1 glass of sour cream;
- - 2 onions, 2 green apples;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of butter, flour;
- - black pepper, salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Wash a piece of pork meat, cut into small cubes. Heat a mixture of butter and vegetable in a frying pan, put the pork in it. Fry until golden brown, then pour in the calvados and stir.
Step 2
Peel the onions, add to the meat, fry until the onions are translucent. Then add flour, mix. Pour in cider or apple juice, salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Rinse the green apples, peel them, chop them coarsely and send them to the pork and onions. Stir and simmer the contents of the pan for about half an hour - during this time, the meat will become very soft. At this stage, you can add fried mushrooms - this is an optional component of the dish, but it tastes better with them.
Step 4
Pour a glass of sour cream into the meat, it can be replaced with cream. Let the sauce thicken, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Norman pork is ready, serve boiled rice or potatoes as a side dish. Sprinkle the top with chopped parsley or dill. This pork is most delicious hot right after cooking.
