Not only sweet dessert preparations are made from plums, you can also pickle fragrant fruits. This preparation will be a great addition to meat and fish dishes.
It is necessary
- - plum - 1 kg
- - sugar - 300 g
- - table vinegar 9% - 90 ml
- - allspice black pepper, cloves, bay leaves - 3 pcs.
Instructions
Step 1
It is noteworthy that no water is required to prepare the marinade. The plum is pickled in its own juice to make a spicy plum jam. The cooking process is lengthy, but not at all troublesome. You just have to repeat the procedure for pouring the plums with marinade syrup 12 times.
Step 2
Rinse the plums, then pierce the peel with a fork three times each fruit. Place in an enamel or glass dish. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, vinegar, spices. Put on fire and bring to a boil. Pour the plum with boiling syrup and leave for 12 hours.
Step 3
After the specified period, drain the marinade, bring to a boil again and pour over the plum. Repeat the procedure over and over again every 6 to 12 hours. As it matures, the plum will release juice, and the marinade will be more and more. Repeat the procedure 11 times.
Step 4
Take 2 or 3 jars with a volume of 0.5 liters and metal lids for them. If the lids are screwed onto the cans, then no additional equipment is needed. If flat metal lids are used, a special device will be needed to "roll up" the cans with lids. The jars must be cleanly washed, dried, they can also be boiled or held over steam.
Step 5
Draining the marinade for the last, twelfth time, put the plums in the jars. Bring the marinade to a boil again and pour the boiling liquid over the plum. Close the jars with lids.
