You can see in practice that you don't have to deep-fry it in oil to get a delicious potato dish. A little fiction - and the result will surpass all expectations!
1. Prepare, for example, homemade chips - I think they will especially appeal to the younger members of the family.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Boil the potatoes for 5 minutes, drain the water. Cut the root vegetables into slices and pat dry on paper towels. Lightly grease the non-stick baking sheet with vegetable oil. Beat the white of one egg lightly with pepper and salt (you can also add herbs to taste) and roll in the future chips. Spread them evenly on a baking sheet and bake for about 35 minutes. Turn the slices over to the other side 20 minutes after starting to bake.
2. Classic mashed potatoes can be cooked with skim milk instead of full fat milk. You can add cream instead of butter.
3. Pour boiling water over the potatoes. Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Mix half a teaspoon of salt with a tablespoon of olive oil. Dip the potatoes in the mixture, place on a baking sheet and bake for 50 minutes.
4. And the most useful way of cooking potatoes, of course, is in their uniform. It is wonderful to serve such potatoes with low-fat yogurt, where you first stir in spices and herbs to taste!
5. Thinly chop the potatoes and onion and soak in ice water for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Drain and dry. Place on an ovenproof dish, season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with grated nutmeg. Pour in 600 ml of vegetable broth with garlic. Top with a few small cubes of butter and bake for 1.5 hours.
