1 kilogram of red currant, 1 kilogram of granulated sugar
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the berries from the twigs, rinse them in a colander and let the water drain. Transfer the berries to an enamel bowl or stainless steel pot.

Cover the currants with sugar and leave until they give juice.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved (about 2-3 minutes). Remember to stir constantly.

Reduce heat and simmer for another 10-15 minutes over low heat. If foam forms, remove it with a clean spoon.
Step 5
Pour the jam into pasteurized jars, cover with a clean towel and let cool
Step 6
Pour boiling water over metal lids and roll up jars of jam with them. Place the jars in a cool place.
