Shiitake mushrooms are often used in oriental dishes. It is a tasty and healthy ingredient in many Japanese, Chinese and Thai dishes. Now you can cook many dishes at home.
We can buy shiitake mushrooms fresh, dried or frozen. One easy way to cook fresh mushrooms is to fry them in sesame (or your favorite) oil, add salt and pepper to taste, and finely chopped garlic. These mushrooms can be served with rice or stewed vegetables.
Dried mushrooms must be soaked for at least 3-4 hours, and preferably overnight. Then the water must be drained, the mushrooms must be gently squeezed out, and cooked according to your favorite recipe, for example, added to noodle soup or filling for dumplings. You can cook dried mushrooms as described above.
Another way to cook shiitake is to soak them immediately in the marinade, and then stew them in the same. Try this marinade composition: aromatic vegetable oil of your choice (for example, sesame oil), white pepper, soy sauce, finely chopped garlic and bell peppers, a little chopped parsley and a drop of lemon juice.
Another way to cook mushrooms is to finely chop and fry the onion, add finely chopped mushrooms, sour cream, salt and stew.
If you bought mushrooms with legs, you can throw them away (the legs are the rougher and less tasty part of the mushroom), or you can boil and cook a delicious soup based on them. The cooked legs can be chopped and added to the minced meat.
