    • 3 medium sized tomatoes;
    • 150 g sour cream;
    • vegetable oil;
    • a tablespoon of flour;
    • salt
    • Bay leaf
    • pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients of the goulash: peel and chop finely onions, cut the bell peppers into strips. Put the tomatoes in a bowl, pour boiling water over and leave for 3 minutes. Then drain the hot water and rinse them cold. Cut them into wedges. Wash, dry and cut the meat into walnut-sized pieces.

Step 2

Do not wash the mushrooms, but wipe them off with a damp cloth, cut the caps into quarters, tear the legs along the fibers, this will preserve their natural aroma.

Step 3

Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan, sauté the onion, add the meat and fry it over high heat for 3-5 minutes. Then sprinkle with flour and fry for another minute, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Put tomatoes, peppers in the meat, add hot water so that it covers the meat, and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.

Step 5

While the meat is stewing, cook the mushrooms. Heat a spoonful of vegetable oil in a frying pan, pour the prepared mushrooms into the oil and fry, stirring occasionally, over high heat until the water evaporates. The mushrooms should acquire a distinct meaty aroma. By the way, this mushroom preparation can be used in other dishes.

Step 6

Half an hour before the meat is ready, add mushrooms, sour cream, salt, pepper, bay leaf and simmer until cooked. Serve the goulash with mashed potatoes and garnish with herbs.
